At The Libraries: Week of Apr. 8

All of our local happenings at the Babylon and West Babylon Public Libraries.

Our local libraries are a source of both knowledge and entertainment, with informational and education events being hosted throughout the week. Babylon and West Babylon Public Libraries often host these events for little or no charge, so check out the top five events going on this week.

Week of April 8

1. Babylon Public Library will hold its Annual Trustee Election and Budget Vote on Tues., April 9 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Details on the budget proposed can be found here.

2. Chef Richard Kanowsky will be here to show you how to make some of those terrific side dishes that make any BBQ an instant success at Homemade BBQ Sides at the Babylon Public Library on Tues., April 9 at 1:30 p.m.

3. The Babylon Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a Public Meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the library's Community Room.

4. Enjoy a presentation on the fruits, fowl, fish and shellfish that have long provided sustenance and often an income, to the people of Long Island and Fire Island at West Babylon Public Library on Tues., April 9 at 6:30 p.m.

5. The West Babylon Public Library's Writer's Club will meet on Tues., April 9 at 2 p.m. All writers – new and old – are always welcome to attend.
