At The Libraries: Week of Jan. 28

All of the top going-ons at Babylon and West Babylon Public Libraries.

Our local libraries are a source of both knowledge and entertainment, with informational and education events being hosted throughout the week. Babylon and West Babylon Public Libraries often host these events for little or no charge, so check out the top five events going on this week.

Week of Jan. 28

1. Head over to the Babylon Public Library around 1 p.m. on Monday for "Adult Games in the Afternoon." Come meet some new people in the community and play classic board games – the event is free. Simply bring your own games.

2. West Babylon Public Library will hold a free Movie Night starting at 6 p.m. on Monday. The library will be showing The Bourne Legacy (PG-13).

3. West Babylon Public Library will also hold a course called Computers 102 for those learning how to use our highly complicated technological devices. The course begins at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.

4. Babylon Public Library will be giving advice on Weather Extremes and Your Health on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The free event will detail how poor weather can adversly affect your health.

5. The West Babylon Main Street Organization, a non-profit organization committed to enhancing the quality of life in West Babylon, will meet at the West Babylon Public Library on Saturday at 9 a.m.
