Del Fuego Opening To Public on Thurs.

Babylon Village residents have waited a long time to see the new restaurant at the site of the former Blue Chili, but come Thursday, the wait will be over.

Del Fuego, a Tex-Mex restaurant, will officially open its doors to the public for dinner on Thurs., May 9, according to a restaurant representative.

Del Fuego opened earlier this week on May 5 for a Cinco de Mayo celebration, giving away free tacos and the restaurant's signature cocktails.

The new restaurant will also be taking part in Long Island Craft Beer Week from May 10 to 19 and hosting an event with Blue Point Brewery in May 16 featuring half-off beers.

The new Babylon Village location will be referred to as "Del Fuego South," a nod to their "north" venue in St. James.
