The Long Island Railroad will operate on a modified schedule beginning Monday on the Babylon, Ronkonkoma and Montauk branches.
Trains on the Montauk Branch will not operate east of Speonk and trains on the Ronkonkoma branch will not operate east of Ronkonkoma.
Since service remains limited following Hurricane Sandy, LIRR officials remind riders that waits will be longer and trains will be more crowded. If possible, customers are advised to travel during off-peak hours.
On Monday, off-peak fares are in effect and the on board penalty will be waived. The October monthly ticket remains valid for travel through Monday.
