Presidents' Day: Schools, Post Office Closed
February 18th is a national holiday – most public places are closed today.
The United States observes Presidents' Day, or Washington's Birthday, today which means, as usual, all schools, libraries, post offices and government buildings are closed today.
Classes will resume at Babylon Schools tomorrow, Feb. 19, and in West Babylon on Feb. 20. Classes were normally closed during this week, but schools are making up hours related to Hurricane Sandy's closings.
Government buildings, the libraries and post offices will resume normal operations again on Tuesday.

The Long Island Rail Road will operate on a special holiday schedule with extra trains added for Monday. All trains will be at off-peak rates.
