Boating Safety Class

US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 1-2 Amityville will be giving a one-day Boating Safety Course on Saturday, August 10th from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Anchorage Yacht Club in Lindenhurst. This will be a mandatory course for EVERYONE boating in Suffolk County waters starting November 2013. Cost: $50 (discounts for Anchorage members, Amityville Village residents) Families of 3 or more $35 each, Children 12-15 $30 (must be accompanied by parent or guardian). All materials are included. This boating course stresses safety equipment, rules, boat handling and more. This course also meets all current NYS and Federal requirements for PWC (Jet-Ski) operators. Upon satisfactory completion of this course and exam, a certificate will be issued.
