Bohlsen Restaurant Group (www.brgroup.biz), for the first time and during National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, hosts a Wear Blue for the Men You Love ® fundraiser and presents prostate-healthy menu specials at Monsoon: Asian Kitchen and Lounge (monsoonny.com) in Babylon Village.





The Wear Blue for the Men You Love ® cocktail party is on Thursday, September 26 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. For every $25 ticket donation to Melville-based Integrated Medical Foundation (www.imfcares.org), a $25 gift card will be received for a future visit to Monsoon. Tickets may be purchased preferably via https://wearblue4men.eventbrite.com or via cash at the door. The event includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres, half-price drinks, one complimentary specialty drink and raffles. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Integrated Medical Foundation and enable the charity to provide free prostate cancer screenings, free support groups and education to the community.

Especially for this occasion, Monsoon Executive Chef Michael Wilson creates a prostate cancer awareness menu available Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29. Prostate-healthy ingredients (marked with asterisk) are included in such dishes as *heirloom tomato tower with shitake mushrooms, Thai basil and sweet soy glaze ($9); Smoked *salmon summer roll with ginger cream and pickled root vegetable ($14); wok fried *brook trout with *Brazil nut crust, *cauliflower puree and concord grape ($24); *black garlic duck breast with curried plum jus, apple wood *Brussels sprouts ($26); and *green tea custard honey blueberry broth with *wild nut crisp ($8).
