Annual Dirty Sock Run Set for Aug. 18

Annual 10k run through the village aims to raise money for food pantries.

The annual Babylon Village Classic 10k race, better known as the Dirty Sock Run, has been scheduled for August 18.

The annual run sponsored by the Babylon Rotary Club and a slew of Babylon Village businesses takes a winding path through the village's roadways and parks in a cross-country style event.

The event will benefit The Clergy Cluster Food Pantries this year.

Joining the run is easy – runners can sign up until August 16 on Active.com and participating will cost $25 if signed up before August 14, and $30 afterwards.

Runners can also join the old fashioned way by using this PDF form and mailing it to the Rotary Club.

The first place male and female runners this year will win a pair of Maui Jim Polarized Sunglasses, donated by Captree Opticians.
