Babylon Resident Presented with Employee Distinction Award

Nursing home director honored for personal sacrifices and dedication to his job.

A Babylon Village resident was recently presented with the LeadingAge New York Employee of Distinction Award.

Bill Kelly, the director of plant operations and security at Out Lady of consolation Nursing and Rehabilitative Car, was awarded the honor for his hard work at the nursing home.

Kelly has been working at the nursing home since 2006, providing leadership and safety for those living and working there, a co-worker said.

"Bill is a mentor and coach to his staff and his method of mentoring allows him to develop relationships at many levels that foster trust and confidence in his ability to support all levels of staff," the co-worker added in a statement.

The Employee of Distinction Award is given to staff that work with Leading Age New York who show a willingness to make personal sacrifices to help others.
