Cell Phones for Soliders at Babylon's American Legion This Sat.

Group will collect old and used devices to help pay for soliders' phone calls from overseas.

Cell Phones For Soliders, Inc. and Senator Phil Boyle are teaming up this weekend to help collect used cell phones to provide our service men and women with the ability to call their loved ones here in the states.

The organization will be collecting the used phones at the American Legion Post 94 on Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The company collects and sends the used cell phones to a major e-recycling company where the proceeds from the devices are used to purchase calling cards for the troops, many of whom are deployed overseas.

Cell Phones For Soliders, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost-free communication services to active duty military members and veterans, has been collecting phones since 2004.
