Volunteer for Operation Military Kids/Hero Packs

Operation Military Kids/Hero Packs has been drawing a great deal of interest. As part of the program, 4-H and volunteers make backpacks, then fill and send them to children of deployed U.S. Military.

Volunteers are needed to help sew the backpacks along with the 4-H. Also, donation of items to fill the packs are needed. Work parties are scheduled for March 19 at the Suffolk County Farm and Education Center in Yaphank. And another work party on April 16, falls within the Global Youth Service Days!

This is a great program that helps military families.
