Lily Flanagan's Hosting Pet Food Drive Later This Month

Fourth annual event will aim to help families feed their pets during the holiday season.

Lily Flanagan's Pub, along with Long Island Pet Professionals, will be hosting a Holiday Pawty and Pet Food Drive on December 19.

The annual event, being held for the fourth time, will help collect pet food donations for Long Island Cares, the recipient of this year's food drive.

“Our goal is to collect at least 500lbs of pet food to donate to Long Island Cares, so that they can fill at least one of their pet food pantries and help pet owners feed their pets nutritious pet food during the holidays,” said Nancy Hassel, president of Long Island Pet Professionals.  "This is our biggest and most festive networking event of the year and we are a very welcoming group – we don’t bite!"

Along with pet lovers of all kinds, the event is also expected to draw pet professionals from throughout the tri-state area.

"If you are a pet professional, thinking about getting into the pet industry, this is the event not to be missed," Hassel said.  "You will meet so many like minded, kind people who are passionate about pets and a lot of fun.”

The event will take place in Lily's Upper Shannon Room at 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 19 and will cost non-members $59.95 for appetizers, buffet dinner, unlimited wine, beer and soda.

More information on the event, including how to RSVP, can be found on the Long Island Pet Professionals website.
