Google Now, Not Later

Google Now is simply the best multi-tool app out there right now.

I mentioned in my last post, on five apps you should have for the spring, that Google's Google Search app was a must have for its simplicity and better speech recognition than the programming in iOS's Siri feature.

Google finally brought the iOS users into the present by giving them access to Google Now, a previously-Android only feature similar to Siri that was able to track traffic changes, weather, packages shipped, sports scores, tickets and a bunch of other items... all without you having to input anything other than your Gmail account.

While, yes, it is creepy to an extent for Google to be reading your emails, they are just simply computers scanning for the information it realizes you would need. It's a rather painless proceedure and makes for an amazing companion.

Google Now really does give its users a plethora of information and all in one app. One click and you know the 5-day forecast, whether the Knicks beat the Pacers, when your Amazon order is getting to your house, when your fiancee's plane is coming in and, hey, you can search using your voice rather simply right from the app.

It's an absolute must have for every iPhone, iPad and iPod touch – it makes life simpler, and isn't that why we wanted these crazy devices to begin with?
