Kenneth Waston, Jr., Korean War Vet & Little League Founder, Passes Away

Watson was the founder of the West Babylon Football League.

Kenneth Watson, Jr., a Korean War veteran and West Babylon resident, passed away on October 20.

Watson was 80 years old.

Watson was a member of the United States Marine Corps. and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was referred to as "Major Watson" by the Young Marines South Shore Detachment of Suffolk County.

He was also known as the founder of the West Babylon Little League Football, more commonly known as West Babylon Football League today.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Lillian.

Watson is survived by his children Kenneth, Patricia, Susan, David and Charles and grandchildren Robert, Rachel and David.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 26 at 11 a.m. at Christ Community Church in East Islip.

He will be interred at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai.
