The Street that Babylon Forgot

today
today
I live on a street that is forgotten over and over.    Our street has not seen a plow in ANY storm this winter.  Since the Monday storm (and no plowing), I have had my car pushed up the street twice to get off this road.  There is at least 8 inches of slush on my street today.  We haven't had trash or mail delivery since last week.  And all contact with Babylon have been to no avail. We work hard to pay our town taxes like so many others. What is going on?????

I hope you have received some help and been plowed since this post.

I'm hoping by now you got your street plowed. Let me also add my 2 cents............. "plowing the streets" to me means plowing the entire road surface area (sidewalk curve edge to sidewalk curve edge), not just 1 lane down the middle of the road! I understand that if there are vehicles parked on the streets that cannot be done, but there is no excuse why operators can't plow a wider area; not only is it hard to have two way traffic move freely, but it also extends one's driveway to shovel an extra 4-6 feet. No excuses.

I live on a street where they plow, but since one or two neighbors feel entitled about all there needs park on Village property usually facing the wrong way. blocking the trucks we get a lousey job...

During snow storms all residents should make an effort to park in their driveways-there also seems to be an epidemic of cars parked on village streets on the wrong side of the road in all kinds of weather. It must be magic!
