Babylon Incident Report: April 14 to April 20

Criminal mischief reports up throughout the area, but burglaries and robbery reports drop.

The following information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding arrests and incidents. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges as noted.Looking for recent arrests? Check the Crime Report.

Incidents Reported

April 14


Police were alerted to an out of control part on Bay Shore Road in Babylon Village at 3 a.m.

April 15

A victim received three threatening phone calls at her home on 18th Street in West Babylon at 4:24 p.m.

April 16

Police were alerted to problems between a landlord and tenant on 16th Street in West Babylon at 1 p.m.

April 17

Police were alerted to harassment of a homeowner on 5th Street in West Babylon at 5:20 p.m. by a known man driving around yelling at the residents.

Police were alerted to an act of aggravated harassment when an ex-boyfriend posted nude photographs of the complainants' niece at 6 p.m. in West Babylon.

April 18

An act of criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported on Seward Street at 8 p.m. in West Babylon.

Police were called to a location on West Main Street in Babylon at 5:05 p.m. where complainant noted 30 subjects outside their location with baseball bats.

Police were alerted to an act of criminal mischief to a boat on slip #158 on Fire Island Avenue in Babylon Village at 5:30 p.m.

April 19

A 54 year old man was assaulted by a group of white male teens on Calvert Avenue in West Babylon at 7:45 p.m. Teens allegedly fled after.

April 20

A car window was found broken and its alarms going off on Dundee Avenue in Babylon Village at 3:05 a.m.
