Babylon, W. Babylon FDs Assist In Battling House Fire
Several fire departments battle blaze that destroys North Babylon home.
Fire fighters from Babylon and West Babylon were on scene of a Wednesday morning fire that destroyed a North Babylon home.
The North Babylon Fire Department arrived at the home located at the corner of Pacific Street and Phelps Lane near North Babylon High School just after 9 a.m. The NBFD was assisted by several fire departments including West Islip, Deer Park, Babylon and West Babylon.
The fire was declared under control around 10:20 a.m.
One North Babylon firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor burns, according to an EMS worker on the scene. No one in the home at the time was injured.
No word on what caused the blaze.
