Capital One Bank Robbed Twice in Two Weeks

Police seek 50-year-old male suspect in the third heist at the bank in seven months.

For the second time in two weeks, and third time in seven months, the Capital One Bank in Babylon Village was robbed Saturday afternoon, police said.

A male entered the Little East Neck Road bank building at about 2 p.m. and made a verbal demand for cash at a teller’s window. The teller complied and the robber fled on foot through a rear entrance, police said.

The suspect is described as a thin-built male, about 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8, 50 years old and wearing a dark blue Yankees hat, sunglasses, a blue pullover shirt and jeans.

Just two weeks ago, on July 16, the same bank was robbed in mid day.

A man entered the bank that Saturday afternoon about 3 p.m. and handed a note to the teller, demanding cash. The teller obliged.

The subject was described as a white male, in his late 40s or early 50s, dark hair, 5-feet-5 inches tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a white painter’s hat, sunglasses, a dark-colored jacket and shirt, purple pants with a white stripe, dark shoes and was carrying a black shoulder bag.

Police are continuing their investigation of that robbery.

On police arrested Max Schneider, 21, of Dix Hills, for robbing the bank on March 21. Schneider is also facing charges of four other bank robberies between February and March.
