Cops: Babylon Man Drove Drunk in Mattituck
The driver was nabbed for not dimming his high beams.

A Babylon Village man was charged with driving while intoxicated in Mattituck early Sunday, police said.
According to Southold Town police, John Sarle, 56, of Babylon Village, was arrested on Route 25 at 12:40 a.m. after he was stopped while heading east for failure to dim his high beams to incoming vehicles.
Police said further investigation revealed Sarle to be intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and failure to dim high beams.
He was transported to Southold Town police headquarters, where he was held for morning arraignment.
