Crimes Nearby: Burglar Breaks into Bar, Steals Tequila

Bay Shore
A burglary was reported at Gerry Finlay's New York Tavern, located at 40 Bay Shore Road, sometime between 5:25 a.m. and 11 a.m., on May 25. The thief entered the bar through an open window and stole a DVR surveillance system, tequila and other alcohol, Suffolk Police said.
Lindenhurst
An armed robbery occurred at Rockstar Tans on N. Wellwood Avenue at 9:30 p.m. on May 21. Police say an unknown man entered the salon and displayed a black handgun and demanded money. The man fled with cash eastbound on Fremont Street. The suspect is described as a white male, about 30 years old, and he was wearing a dark colored Timberland sweatshirt at the time of the robbery, police said.
West Babylon
A burglary was reported at a home on Claremont Avenue between the hours of 1:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on May 23. Police say the occupants of the home were sleeping while the burglar entered the house through a rear open window. Electronics were stolen and the burglar exited through the same window, police said.
