Driver Loses Control of Car, Hits W. Babylon Home

Driver and home's residents fine after out-of-control vehicle hits a house.

A man lost control of his car and crashed into a West Babylon home on Phoenix Road after suffering "a medical episode," according to police.

Newsday reports the driver had a medical problem and lost control of his 2003 Infiniti, striking a fence before careening across the lawn and into the sunroom of the West Babylon home.

The driver, Joseph Bonner, a 27-year-old West Babylon resident, was injured in the crash and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip following the accident for precautionary measures.

The residents of the home on Phoenix Road were not injured, police said.

No charges were filed, according to Newsday, and the home's main structure was undamaged.
