Grasing Grand Jury Arraignment Scheduled for Wednesday

Michael Grasing, the Babylon man accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that killed Lindenhurst teen Brittney Walsh, will be back in court on July 18.

Michael Grasing, the Babylon man accused of driving under the influence and crashing into a car driven by on June 24, will be back in court tomorrow morning for the unsealing of a grand jury indictment.

State Supreme Court Justice Mark Cohen will unseal the grand jury indictment tomorrow, July 18, at 11 a.m. for Grasing, who's accused and being held on charges of a DWI on June 24.

Grasing reportedly swerved in and out of traffic, ran red lights, drove on the sidewalk and sped at rates of 85 to 100 miles per hour driven by Lindenhurst 18-year-old Brittney Walsh.

The impact flipped her car several times before stopping at a utility pole. The recent Copiague High School graduate passed away at the scene.

Grasing was of .30, nearly four times the legal limit, nearly an hour-and-a-half after the crash, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota.

Grasing is currently being held in jail on the DWI charges and $250,000 bail.
