Police have arrested a Queens man in connection with Tuesday morning's fatal shooting of two men near the Cross Island Parkway, including a Nassau County Police officer.
Darrell Fuller, 33, was arrested sometime around 6 p.m. at a Jamaica home near 111th Avenue and 173th Street.
According to Nassau Police Chief Steve Skrynecki, NYPD officers responded to a 911 call regarding gunshots fired from a car in Jamaica. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Fuller in a car with what appeared to be a "self-inflicted" gunshot wound.
Earlier in the day, Fuller allegedly gunned down NCPD officer Arthur Lopez, 29, of Babylon Village after a short pursuit from a previous incident.
According to police, Fuller then stopped a car on the Cross Island Parkway before fatally shooting the driver, 52-year-old Raymond Facey, in the head.
Fuller is currently being held in police custody at Jamaica Hospital, according to an FDNY spokesman.
