Police Asking for Public's Help to ID West Babylon Bank Robber

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who robbed a West Babylon Bank earlier this month. 

Police said a man entered the TD Bank, located at 701 W. Montauk Highway, on Jan. 8 at 11:56 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the man’s demands and the suspect fled on foot, last seen traveling eastbound from south entrance of the bank.

The man was described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-10, thin build, unshaven and had light-colored eyes. He was wearing sunglasses, a black baseball cap with a black square on the front, a grey sweatshirt with the “Hollister” on the front, khaki cargo pants, red gloves and a scarf.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
