My mother also lives in North Babylon and some man knocked on her door the other day asked if her car was for sale it's a 95 and for sale sign then asked if she needed work done around the house. She told him her husband does it. I am scared for her and hoping they really are patrolling the area.

I see police in the area but there number is small and they cant see everything. I just chased a car full of teens from the side of my house a few days ago by taking there picture. They got out of there fast. I will keep doing it as long as they think its safe down by the woods where I live. I never had any problems with the patrol officers myself. they have all been nice and cared. My detective was the opposite and that's where my issue is.

Police advised area residents? How? I never got any advisory. I only found out about it from reading the Patch.
