Police On the Hunt for West Babylon Shooter

A West Babylon man was shot three times on Monday evening as the police search for the gunman continues.

A West Babylon man was hospitalized after being shot four times on Monday evening, leaving Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives on the search for the gunman.

According to Suffolk County detectives, an 18 year old man from West Babylon was standing in front of 25 Lodge Place when he was shot at approximately 6:35pm.  The victim was shot twice in the back, once in his left leg, and a bullet grazed his ear. 

The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

No information on the suspect or suspects was given by the Suffolk County Police Department.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this shooting to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
