Incident Report: Burglaries Reported Across W. Babylon

Incidents in Babylon Village and West Babylon between September 17th through September 22nd.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and doesn't indicate convictions.

Incidents

September 17th

  • West Babylon – An assault was reported from Essex Street at around 12 noon.
  • West Babylon – A call came in for a burglary at a home on Westchester Avenue on the 19th. The burglary occured on the 17th at 7 p.m. while homeowners were gone for 48 hours.

September 19th

  • West Babylon – Police were called for an aggravated harassment charge on 11th Street at 1:05 p.m.
  • West Babylon – A robbery was reported on Broadway, the subject entering through the rear entrance.
  • West Babylon – Criminal Mischief was reported on Peconic Avenue at around 10 p.m.
  • West Babylon – Police responded to a call for harassment on Raider Street near 11 p.m.

September 20th

  • West Babylon – A van discovered running with no lights on was called in to police for possible buglary at 10 p.m.

September 21st

  • Babylon Village – A harassment call came in claiming a homeless white man was reportedly begging for money while intoxicated on Deer Park Avenue at 5:37 p.m.
  • West Babylon – Harassment for a threatening call by an unknown caller was placed by an individual on Reef Court at 12:30 p.m.
  • West Babylon – A burglary was called in to police – suspect rang door bell, then went in through back door on Empire Avenue at 12:40 p.m.

September 22nd

  • Babylon Village – A female was pushed out of a moving vehicle and the boyfriend allegedly took off on Little East Neck Road at 9:59 p.m.
  • Babylon Village – Police were called for an assault on Railroad Avenue at 4:30 p.m.; victim sustained an eye injury.
