Police Seeking Armed Men for Local Robberies

Duo have hit a Babylon Village store among other places on six-month spree.

The Suffolk County Police Department is seeking the public's help in identifying two men who have robbed multiple gas stations and convenience stores in Babylon Village, Lindenhurst, Deer Park and other local areas.

Suffolk Police said during each of the robberies, which occurred from December 23, 2012 up to as recently as May 16, 2013, the two men entered businesses and demanded cash as well as Newport cigarettes.

The two fled on foot from the scenes, but police believe there might have been getaway cars involved.

The two men were reportedly armed with handguns, one silver and one black, and wore masks and gloves.

The men are described as black males, one light-skinned and one dark-skinned, weighing between 200 and 240 pounds and from 5-foot, 10-inches to 6-foot, 4-inches tall. The duo is usually dressed in dark hooded sweatshirts and wear masks to conceal their faces.

The robberies reportedly took place in Bay Shore, Babylon Village, Deer Park, Dix Hills and Lindenhurst.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls are kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
