Police: Serial Bank Robber Arrested In West Babylon

Man charged with four bank robberies at three banks, police said.

A Deer Park man has been arrested in West Babylon and charged with allegedly committing four bank robberies at three banks.

According to Suffolk County Police in a Thursday announcement, Edward Waller, 42, has been arrested and will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip. Waller was arrested Wednesday at 12:21 p.m. after being located by detectives driving on Park Avenue in West Babylon and was arrested without incident, police said.

Police say that Waller is involved in the robberies of the Lake Ronkonkoma TD Bank location on Nov. 10, TD Bank in North Babylon on Oct. 27, and New York Commercial Bank in Deer Park on Sept. 5 and Oct. 11.

Waller has been charged with three counts of robbery in the first degree and one count of robbery in the third degree.
