Police: W. Babylon Man Hit in Drive-By Shooting

21-year-old man is in serious but stable condition after being shot in the face.

A West Babylon man is in serious condition after being fired upon during a drive-by shooting on Monday afternoon on Wright Street.

Suffolk County Police said 21 year-old Christian Warren was in front of his home on Wright Street in West Babylon at around 4:30 p.m. on Monday when he was shot by a person who fired from a passing vehicle.

Wright was struck in the face by at least one bullet and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.

Wright was later transferred to Stony Brook University Medical Center where he was listed in serious but stable condition.

Police are continuing their investigation into the shooting and are looking for anyone with information on the crime. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
