UPDATE: Toddlers in Hospital Following Pool Incident

Twin three-year-olds who fell into a pool late this morning survived and are under observation at a local hospital.

Two three-year-old twins who fell into a pool late this morning on Tappan Avenue in Babylon were rescued by their mother and appear to be in satisfactory condition at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, according to police.

Initial reports earlier in the day Thursday stating that one of the toddlers was reportedly discovered at the bottom of the pool proved to be erroneous.

"They are still at the hospital under observation," a police source told Patch.
