Robber Hits West Babylon Roslyn Savings Bank Again

For the second time in less than two weeks a masked robber gets cash from tellers.

A bank robber hit the Roslyn Savings Bank on West Montauk Highway in West Babylon this morning in the second hold-up in less than two weeks.

Police say a 5-foot-10 white male, wearing a black mask, entered the bank at 10:14 a.m. and began shouting demands for money and got cash from several tellers.

The robber was wearing a black jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, black pants and dark sneakers, according to the police report.

The same bank was robbed in a similiar manner by a white male wearing nearly the same exact outfit on February 11. In the first incident the robber was wearing white sneakers. According to police the man entered the bank at 653 West Montauk Highway at 9:55 a.m. and began shouting demands for money. He approached a teller who gave him cash from the drawer.

Anyone with information on the bank robberies is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
