State Police: Identify Thief Seen at W. Babylon Store

Unknown woman used stolen debit card information to make purchases earlier this month.

The New York State Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a woman who has been using a stolen identity and credit cards to make purchases on Long Island.

According to the police, the woman in question, described as Hispanic, used stolen debit card information from a victim who lives in Garden City.

The thief later used the stolen cards to make purchases of Apple products at P.C. Richard & Son in West Babylon and a Walmart in Centereach on August 8.

The woman was caught on security cameras at both stores, giving police a lead on her description.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
