According to police, EMS personnel arrived at the supermarket to treat a male in cardiac arrest from a reported fall and administered CPR.

Police said the individual died either on site or at the hospital. The incident is currently being investigated by Suffolk County Homicide detectives, although a police spokesperson said it's most likely a medical case.

Police said they are awaiting autopsy results, and Patch will update the story if further information is released.

According to authorities, police arrived at the scene at 6:04 a.m. Tuesday and the store remained closed until around 9 a.m.
