Suffolk PD Hosting Monthly Community Meeting Thursday

The monthly meeting for all will be held at West Babylon Public Library.

The Suffolk County Police Department First Precinct will hold their monthly Community Meeting, the first since June, at West Babylon Public Library at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 1.

The meetings, hosted by precinct Inspector Gerard Gigante, consist of a presentation on the past month of criminal activities throughout the precinct, including statistics on arrests, types of crimes and even special alerts on trending crimes seen by officers in recent months.

The meetings also include and question and answer session where police will attempt to answer any and all questions from their normal routines to helping residents with suspected unlawful activity near their homes or businesses.

The get-togethers are normally held every month of the first Thursday at West Babylon Public Library.

The 7 p.m. meeting is usually held in the Children's Meeting Room. If the room is empty, please ask a librarian who can direct you to the correct meeting room.
