"I don't tend to think of the world as a scary, bad place filled with scary, bad people," the mother wrote, according to Newsday. "I want him away from my children."

The mother refused an order of protection, allowing her and her child's name to remain private to Frissina.

According to Newsday, Assistant DA John Cortes also accused Frissina of accosting an 11-year-old boy with special needs.

"This defendant's sole purpose was to prey on children," he said.

Frissina was given six months in jail and 10 months probation. He has been in jail since the arrest in August and will be released soon.
