Traffic Alert: Village Main Street, DPA are Among Roads Closed for Funeral
The funeral for slain West Babylon resident and NYPD officer Peter Figoski will shutdown numerous village streets Monday.
Suffolk Police will be closing Montauk Highway, in both directions from Little East Neck Road to Deer Park Avenue, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday, and DPA will be closed southbound, from Park Avenue to Montauk Highway, for the funeral service for Peter Figoski, a West Babylon father of four killed in the line of duty last week.
Many roads surrounding St Joseph’s Church on North Carll Avenue will be closed as well, including Trolley Line Road and Locust Avenue.
Motorists in Babylon Village are advised that there will be heavier than normal traffic conditions and residents are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes during this time.
