[PHOTOS] Thousands Turn Out to Mourn West Babylon Father of Four

Thousands pay respects to fallen NYPD officer Peter Figoski.

Much of Babylon Village shut down Monday morning, as thousands of active and retired officers and residents came to observe a mass at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church for slain police officer Peter Figoski.

The ceremony was a somber and silent send-off for the West Babylon father of four and 22-year police veteran, who received accolades in life, and death, as the NYPD posthumously promoted him in honor of his years of service.
