West Babylon Student 'Critical But Stable'

Job Giuliani, 17, was hit by a car outside the West Babylon Senior High School last week.

The West Babylon High School student hit by a car outside the school last Wednesday is still in critical condition, but has also improved to stable according to a hospital representative.

Job Giuliani, 17, a senior at West Babylon High School, was walking across Great East Neck Road in front of the school on Wednesday afternoon when he was struck by a car driven by a West Babylon resident.

Giuliani sustained critical head injuries and was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.

"He's in critical, but stable condition," said Colleen Valdini, Manager of Public and External Affairs at Good Samaritan Hospital. She did not have further word on the full extent of his injuries.

The West Babylon community has come out in support of the Giuliani family, holding a charity car wash this past weekend at Hassel Auto Body. The event reportedly raised more than $1,000 towards Job's family's medical bills.
