Babylon Train Service is Getting Back on Track

While some trains were cancelled this morning, service is slowing getting back to normal.

There's no question that today's train service has to be a bit easier than yesterday's but the Babylon Branch still isn't operating on full schedule given weather-related issues.

A MTA service notice posted at 8:14 a.m. this morning alerted riders that there would be delays of up to 15 minutes systemwide and several cancellations on the branch, with the 8:10 a.m. train from Freeport cancelled and the 7:43 am from Merric cancelled.

The good news was that the 8:03 a.m., initially cancelled, actually was in operation after equipment repairs were made.
