Five Things to Know: June 7

Storms still hang around the area, but head on out for crafts galore, bingo night and a government board meeting.

1. The stormy weather refuses to go away – thunderstorms are expected again throughout the afternoon hours in Babylon Village, so keep the umbrella handy. Your Thursday, though, is expected to be mostly sunny with a high around 72.

2. for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade will be available at the Babylon Public Library starting at 4:15pm. Stop in and bring make a fun project to bring home – no registration necessary for the free event.

3. The Village Knitter will host its weekly “” for aspiring knitters starting at 6:00pm. The rules are simple: “No instruction, just lots of support, ideas and inspiration. Laughs included.” It is not necessary to purchase items at the store, but would be appreciated.

4. It’s at the American Legion Post 94. For $2.00, participate in multiple games of bingo with all proceeds going towards charities and local scholarships. Food will be available at the 7:00pm event.

5. The Babylon Village Architectural Review Board will hold its in the Village Hall starting at 8:00pm.
