Incumbents Elected to Third Terms
Babylon Village residents voted three incumbent village officials back into office Tuesday.
Babylon Village residents voted to give three incumbent officials a third term in office Tuesday.
Mayor Ralph Scordino and trustees Debbie Basile and Anthony Davida ran uncontested and were re-elected Tuesday for their respective village positions.
Scordino received 386 votes, Basile garnered 381 votes and Davida got 382 votes.

Longtime resident Aaron Stein, who writes the blog AroundBabylon, received one write-in vote and Skip Gardner, who works for the village, received two write-in votes.
Polling results were announced at the Better Babylon Party gathering at Hibernian hall after voting ended at 9 p.m. The incumbents thanked supporters and Scordino said the successful election was due to volunteers and community support.

"I expect the next four years will be tremendous for the village," said Scordino.
Trustee Davida said the fact there were no opponents was a positive sign that the community was satisfied with the current administration. Basille said she was happy to be re-elected to her post.
"The village is such a beautiful place to live and to be a part of," she said.
