Irene Forces New Date for Babylon Beach Blast
Town event is postponed given impending storm conditions.
Thanks to Hurrican Irene's impending arrival the Town of ’s annual that was scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. is now going to be held Saturday, September 3 at 3 p.m.
The family-friendly event features relay contests, games, face-painting, rides and an annual ice cream eating contest, plus the town’s 17th annual fireworks extravaganza presented by Bay Fireworks beginning at dusk. Musical entertainment includes performances by Full House, Crush, Steakum Tuesday and St. Augustine.
