Today is the day to vote on the 2012-2013 Babylon Library budget.

Today's budget vote will take place from noon until 9 p.m. in the library periodical room. To be eligible to vote, you must be a resident of the Babylon School District and be registered to vote with the district or with Suffolk County Board of Elections.

This year's total proposed budget is $1,882,500, an increase of $55,229 over last year. Fixed administrative expenses show the biggest single line item increase, by $32,800. Staff costs and library materials costs are also up, while operations and employee benefits are down.

The budget will maintain the current operations of the library.
