Leg. Horsley Honors West Babylon Boy Scout
Leg. Wayne Horsley honored West Babylon's Grant Thorn for his local park cleanup project.
Deputy Presiding Officer Wayne R. Horsley recently presented Eagle Scout Grant Thorn with a proclamation as he received his prestigious Eagle Scout Award.
For his Eagle project, Grant chose to spearhead a clean-up for an area from Carlls River south of Southard’s Pond to Park Avenue in Babylon, which helped to increas the water flow.
Although many Scouts begin the difficult journey which leads them to the pinnacle of their scouting careers, only a small percentage actually achieves their goal and receives the esteemed Eagle Scout Award.

Grant is a resident of West Babylon and proud member of Boy Scout Troop 194 in Babylon.
