The Long Island Rail Road is operating on a reduced weekday morning rush schedule, and some westbound trains have been cancelled. Tain service is being replaced by buses east of Ronkonkoma on the Main Line to Greenport.
The LIRR is advising that service will likely change throughout the day due to weather conditions and today’s “Snow Recovery Schedule” is a “baseline” of how it hopes to provide service today and this evening. Riders are urged to check the website and sign up for the LIRR’s free E-Alerts to keep up on changes.
As of 9 a.m. the LIRR web site was experiencing problems loading pages. Customers can also contact the LIRR's Travel Information Center at 718-217-5477 (718-217-LIRR).
