Remembrance: Vigil for the Missing
The POW/MIA vigil at Babylon Town Hall marked the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and honored those lost or held as prisoners in foreign wars.
Local Boy Scout troops, veterans, and residents attended a somber ceremony on Friday night at Town Hall. Politicans and representatives from the POW/MIA organization and the American legion spoke, many drawing parellels between the fate of 9/11 victims and POW/MIA, and noting that the need for a sense of closure and remembrance was forefront on the minds of families and friends of all the victims.
