Village Notebook: Nocturne Gets the Nod, Memorial Day Parade Time Clarified

News and notes from the Village of Babylon board meeting.

Memorial Day Weekend is here, and Monday's Memorial Day Parade is always a Babylon Village favorite. The Spring newsletter that was mailed to residents listed the parade start time as 10 a.m., but the actual parade starting time is 11 a.m, on Monday, May 28. Marchers should line up at 10 a.m. The parade starts on Foster Boulevard and makes its way south down Deer Park Avenue, before heading west on Main Street.

New French restaurant was given the okay to open. The family-owned eatery will open in the closed Bistro 111 space. Owner Mark Hrisho indicated that he wanted to open as soon as possible.

A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 12th at 7 p.m. to hear the application of Mathies Land Development for requirement relief. Mathies owns to the Babylon Village Park condominums on the corner of Park Avenue and North Carll Avenue.
