#81: Send the Kids to Camp, Holiday Break Style

Babylon's Kidnastics offers an activity-filled alternative to couch time during the holiday season and gives parents a needed break as well.

Just because your kids are off from school for holiday vacation doesn't mean that you are, too, and with shopping, decorating and cooking, you're probably busier than ever.

Rather than reach for the remote for the umpteenth viewing of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (not that there's anything wrong with that) consider a week at Babylon's holiday camp.

Children two to six years old will do crafts, gym activities, songs and games, with some trips to an outdoor play area and snacks in the mix, as well. Kidnastics, a children's gymnastics center, does more than just teach tumbling: they also offer age-specific developmental classes, from Mommy and Me infant movement through toddler separation classes.

The camp runs on December 23rd (noon to 3 p.m.) and then from December 26th through the 30th, 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. The cost is $25 per day, and parents can sign up for one day or all. Call 661-2280 for more information.
