Babylon Field Hockey Recognized for Academic Achievements

The Babylon Booster Club donates two brand new goals and nets for the varsity team's use.

The Babylon Boosters recently presented Varsity Girls Field Hockey Coach Cathy York and her team with two brand-new goals and nets to help with the expanding interest in the sport and for special recognition of their academic achievement in 2010.

The team finished first in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar Athlete/Team Award amongst all field hockey teams in New York State.

The goals were identified as a need because the interest in the program is growing and with only one set of goals, Coach York needed the additional goals to conduct practices and support multiple games.

Booster President Tim McCaffrey congratulated the team during the donation presentation.

”The Babylon Boosters are proud of your teams accomplishments on and off the field. These new goals were made possible through the generous support of the Babylon community and the Booster Club is happy to provide them to you and the team.”
